Celebrate World Book Day and take to the Thames with MBNA Thames Clippers and Walker Books for storytelling sessions on the river

Round up your Thames Nippers for a river adventure filled with bear hunts, owl babies, missing hats and more. Perfect for pre-schoolers, hop on board the RB2 service between London Bridge and Battersea piers to enjoy these free tales on the Thames (included in usual ticket price).

World Book Day is on 1st March, a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. These story telling sessions start Friday 2nd March and run the next three Fridays to continue the celebrations

Story seekers can enjoy storytelling on the first four Fridays in March, on Friday 2, 9, 16 and 23 March, joining the RB2 Westbound service departing London Bridge City Pier at 1015 or subsequent piers through to Battersea Power Station Pier, or the RB2 Eastbound service, departing Battersea Power Station Pier at 1045 for its return journey to London Bridge City Pier.

Book your single ticket for just £6.50. Alternatively, to experience the whole session, book a return or all day River Roamers online. Adults can also touch in and out with Oyster or contactless to pay as you go at any pier along the route. Kids under 5 years old travel for free.
