Starting Wednesday, 28 May, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers will begin rolling out a new version of their app. The updated Thames Clippers Tickets app includes exciting new features that will become available to all existing and new users over a seven-day period.
Travelling by boat offers a convenient and scenic way to get around London, whether you're a commuter or a visitor. With the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers app, you can easily plan your journey, purchase tickets, and track your boat in real time, all in one place. Travelling on the Thames has never been simpler.
Buy tickets anytime, anywhere; no queuing, no looking for your tickets in your inbox, just open your app and look in your Wallet. Simple and convenient.

To buy tickets you need an account! Enter your details and all future transactions will only need your login.
From the home page, tap 'Buy Tickets', select your ticket type, and pay securely with a credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Open your ticket wallet, activate your ticket(s) and show the crew when boarding.
We began rolling out the update on Wednesday, 28 May, for iOS, and on Monday, 2 June, for Android, as a soft launch. This means some users may already have the new app, while others will receive it by Wednesday, 4 June, if they have automatic updates enabled. If your app hasn’t updated by then, please check the App Store or Google Play manually, as you may need to update it yourself.
Tickets are available on the new app. You just need to login with your existing credentials (Menu > Login) and go to “My tickets” on the home page.
You do not need an account to use the app, except for buying tickets. If you already have an account, then simply log in with your existing credentials otherwise create one in order to buy tickets. A pop-up message may appear saying you are switching devices even if you aren't; please confirm and if you don't have any device switch credits left please contact our customer service team.
The minimum operating system requirements are iOS 17 or later for iPhones, and Android 10 or later for Android devices. If your device’s iOS is older than these versions, you’ll still be able to continue using the existing Thames Clippers Tickets app.
Yes. Currently, we are unable to continue selling hot drink carnets through the app. However, any previously purchased tickets that haven’t yet been used will still appear in your ticket wallet and can be redeemed for a hot drink.
Yes you can purchase more than one same type of ticket per transaction. Remember to activate as many tickets as people travelling.
Travel tickets stay active for 90 minutes, long enough for you to reach your destination.
Tickets that haven't been activated will expire within 90 days of purchase except for Flex 4 and 6 Ticket Carnet that expire within 7 days of purchase. Season tickets are valid for a specified duration ranging from one week to one year.
