We offer a variety of fares, please click on the link below to view all of them.
For single journeys you can receive a discounted fare by purchasing tickets via our ticketing app, buying online or by touching in and out with contactless or Oyster to pay as you go.

*You will be charged the adult fare when touching in and out with contactless to pay as you go. Discounts such as Travelcard or Child) will not be applied.
TfL London Underground Travelcard
Receive 1/3 off Standard fares and season tickets with a Travelcard. This means you can receive 1/3 off Adult River Roamers, Child River Roamers and Standard fare single tickets.
Oyster cards linked to Travelcards (weekly, monthly, annual) will automatically apply the 1/3 off when touching in and out.
Passengers with paper Travelcards will need to purchase their tickets with the self service ticket machine, the ticketing app or at a ticket office.
Children between the age of 5 and 15 receive a 50% discount on all MBNA Thames Clippers fares excluding River Bus Express for The O2. This includes a 50% discount on Adult River Roamer tickets and season tickets.
For single journeys, child tickets purchased at the ticket office or self service ticket machine will be 50% cheaper than the Standard fare. Alternatively, children can receive 50% off the cheaper Oyster/App fare by purchasing via the app, online or by touching in and out with Oyster pay as you go.
If children are travelling with Oyster pay as you go and want to receive the 50% discount then the Oyster card must be an 11-15 Oyster photocard, a 5-10 Oyster photocard or an Oyster/Visitor Oyster card with young visitor discount activated.
This discount is not available on River Bus Express tickets.
Child TfL London Underground Travelcard
Children receive a further 1/3 off child fares if they have a London Travelcard. This discount is available on any service except the River Bus Express. Please see the pricing PDF for details
Children under five years old travel free (excluding River Bus Express services).
London Freedom Pass and 60+ Oyster cards
London Freedom Pass holders and 60+ Oyster card holders can receive 50% off MBNA Thames Clippers fares. This includes a 50% discount on River Roamer tickets and season tickets.
For single journeys, this discount is 50% off the cheaper Oyster/App fare. They can access this discount via the ticketing app, online, at the ticket office or at the ticket machine.
Please note that as the London Freedom Pass does not hold credit it will not work with touching in and out at the Oyster card readers at piers.
Please click on the Freedom Pass website to find out more about the pass. Regrettably, we are unable to extend a similar discount to holders of Senior Railcards or regional concessionary passes not issued by London Councils or TFL.
These discounts are not available on River Bus Express tickets.
Tate Members get a 25% discount on the RB2 Tate to Tate service.
Passengers travelling in groups of 10 or more receive a 10% discount on Single, Return and River Roamer hop-on, hop-off tickets. Please book in advance via the form.
Please note: children are between 5 and 15 years old and under 5s travel free.
River Roamer - online discount
Book your River Roamer tickets online for a discounted rate:
- £17.80 for an adult (saving £2.00)
- £8.90 for a child ticket (saving £1.00)
- £35.60 for a Family ticket (saving £4.00)
War Veteran Pass Holders
War Veteran Pass holders can receive a 50% discount, which works in the same manner as the Freedom Pass discount (please see above).
Please note, if you wish to touch in and out with your War Veteran Pass, you must have sufficient credit on your Oyster card.
London Student Oyster card and Apprentice Oyster card holders
18+ Student Oyster photocard holders and Apprentice Oyster photocard holders will receive 1/3 off Season Tickets.
1/3 off to TfL staff
TfL staff can receive the Travelcard discount: 1/3 off Standard fares. This is also the case for TfL staff's ‘nominated family/friend’.
To obtain the discount please show your staff pass when buying your ticket at a pier ticket office, or select the ‘Travelcard discount’ option if purchasing tickets at a pier self service machine or via the Thames Clippers smartphone app.
Travelling with a carer
Any person with a valid Disabled I.D. badge/card, irrespective of the Council that this was issued from, will receive a 50% discount off the online fare for all of our tickets. This includes Single, Return, River Roamer and season tickets. If buying your ticket online, the app or at one of the kiosks at the pier, please select the London Freedom Pass fare.
Carers accompanying passengers with a Disabled I.D. badge/card will receive a complimentary ticket (same as the ticket bought by the person they are accompanying). Please talk to someone at one of our ticket offices before travelling; if the pier is not manned please speak with the crew when boarding the boat.
The person with a Disabled I.D. badge/card will need to buy their ticket before boarding and are allowed one complimentary ticket per person.

For a discounted fare:
- Touch in and out with contactless or Oyster pay as you go
- Book tickets online and print them out to show as you board
- Buy Single, Return, and Season tickets through our ticketing app and activate as you board.

Please note that some of our joint ticket experiences cannot be purchased on the day as you need to purchase online in advance.

Please remember that we’re unable to offer priority boarding and there’s no reserved seating on any of the boats. You must pay before you travel and you cannot buy on board the boat.
