The pier offers convenient access to the areas of Blackfriars, Castle Baynard, Cordwainer and the City of London. There are a number of well-known attractions within walking distance of the pier and many workplaces.

Blackfriars Pier is wheelchair, mobility scooter and pram accessible.

Tickets can be bought at ticket machines at the pier before travel, but to save time and money touch in and out with your Oyster or contactless card. You can also buy your tickets online or use the Uber app or the Thames Clippers Tickets app.

River Bus service patterns

   RB1 and RB6 services call at Blackfriars.

No services call here on weekends, or during off peak hours on weekdays. During these times, please cross Millennium Bridge and use Bankside Pier which is served throughout the week.

    Blackfriars Underground and National Rail station is located just 3 minutes' walk from the pier. Blackfriars Station is is on the Circle and District tube lines, Thameslink, and Southeastern National Rail networks.

    There is a Santander Cycle Station on Queen Victoria Street.

    The pier is on Cycle Superhighway CS3. 
  • Parking Fill

    There are nearby car parks called Baynard House and Green Parking. Blackfriars Pier is within the Congestion Zone and ULEZ.
  • Car Pickup

    Passengers who wish to catch a bus or use a taxi for the remainder of their journey can do so on the nearby Queen Victoria Street.

    There will likely be many Uber drivers ready for service in this area too.
