Thames Clippers, an alternative to South Western Railway Strike
The frequent RB1 service also serves Battersea Power Station with departures every 20 minutes.
With its RB6 service calling at piers in Putney, Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, Plantation Wharf, Chelsea Harbour, Cadogan, Battersea Power Station and St George Wharf (Vauxhall), Thames Clippers takes passengers from the south west of the capital into commuting hubs like Embankment, Blackfriars, Tower, London Bridge City and Canary Wharf. Avoid the crowds and commute in style, taking advantage of a guaranteed comfortable seat, a heated cabin, views of the city and an on-board bar to purchase refreshments and beverages with which to start and end the workday.
Thames Clippers’ RB6 service operates frequent departures serving piers between Putney and Canary Wharf. Take the stress out of commuting and buy a season ticket via the Thames Clippers ticketing app, starting from £27 for a one-week (West Only) season ticket. Alternatively, passengers are able to use contactless payment and Oyster to pay as you go with Thames Clippers, making river travel this December easier. Those commuters that do not need to travel everyday should also consider a carnet: 10 pre-paid journeys for the price of 9, available via the Thames Clippers app.
Service suspension
Due to London being in national lockdown our services are currently suspended. We’ll reassess after the UK Government's next formal review.
Guaranteed seat
Comfortable seats in climate controlled cabins or enjoy the fresh air on the outside back deck.
Bikes permitted
Bring your bike on board at no extra charge. We can currently carry up to 20 bikes on our largest vessels. Pets are also welcome.
Café bar
A whole range of refreshments are available from the onboard café bar.
Café bars are currently takeaway only due to tier 3 coronavirus regulations.
Toilets
There are toilets with accessible facilities on board most of the fleet. Our larger boats also have baby changing tables.
