Sean Collins (Thames Clippers' CEO and Co-Founder), receives his Everywoman Award.
Sean Collins, our co-founder and CEO, made waves at the Everywoman in Travel Awards this week by winning the Male Agent of Change Award.
The Male Agent of Change Award celebrates men who have shown an active commitment to advancing the progress of women working in travel. Thames Clippers is one of the most diverse workforces operating on the Thames, and indeed the global marine industry, and this is due in no small part to Sean's commitment.
The award comes in Thames Clippers’ 20th year of operation and follows awareness campaigns, such as marking International Women’s Day with an all-female crew.
Sean commented: “it’s an incredible honour to have received this award, and is testament to the fantastic female staff that makes Thames Clippers what it is today. Our percentage increase of female staff this year is already up 3% on 2018; an impressive statistic when considering that for the same year, the rest of the marine industry accounted for a female worldwide workforce of just 3% in total. We’re proud of this progress but are still looking forward, and constantly striving to increase the employee diversity working in our great business.”
