This summer, from 19 June – 20 August, we’re partnering up with Whizz-Kidz, the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users, who are taking over London’s most famous sights with a unique, free public art trail.
This step-free quest stars much-loved mischief-maker Morph!
Everyone can enjoy this accessible art experience, discovering 56 spectacularly painted, unique giant Morph sculptures in iconic locations, around South Bank, London Bridge, and City of London.
See how many Morphs you can spot and get a selfie with! Each one you find will showcase the artwork of talented artists from across the country who have come together with leading businesses to create diverse designs.
Why we're involved
Whizz-Kidz and Morph are working together to shine a light on issues of disability, inclusion, and accessibility. Most young people in the UK aren't able to get a wheelchair that fully meets their needs, and for a young person, having the wrong wheelchair can lead to dependence on others, social isolation, poor mental health, pain and injury.
As an accessibility-friendly mode of transport ourselves, we support the Whizz-Kidz's vision, and hope that this unique step-free trail will provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about how together, we can remove barriers and create a more inclusive society.
Meet the artist
Say hello to our Morph artist, Olaf Falafel. Comedian, illustrator, author, and idiot... his words, not ours!
He's a former winner of The Funniest Joke of the Edinburgh Fringe and has created several comedy shows including Olaf Falafel and the Cheese Of Truth. As well as trying to make people laugh on stage, Olaf writes and illustrates children’s books including Blobfish and the Trixie Pickle Art Avenger series.
Our Morph
We're so excited to have our Morph in London, and we've managed to grab a great spot! Just a short walk from Bankside pier, outside Tate Modern.
