Uber Boat by Thames Clippers are proud to partner with Tempo, the world’s largest community currency organisation, to encourage people to volunteer their time, make sure everyone’s voice is heard and improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
Tempo's Time Credits model works simply: people earn Time Credits for time contributed to their community or service. Time Credits can then be spent on trips on our fleet of high-speed catamarans, providing transport and sight-seeing experiences to people in return for their community efforts.
Over 50% of people who earn Time Credits had never or rarely volunteered their time before, and 83% of those involved reported that earning and spending Time Credits had improved their quality of life.
In just the last two years, over 4,000 trips have been taken by people using Time Credits, including those who volunteer in London, but also for many visiting London as a special day out from the rest of the UK.
