An utterly lunatic week-long programme

To coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing London is getting its very first Moon Festival! A week-long exploration of the moon across cultures, history and disciplines taking place all around the borough of Greenwich between 19 – 26 July 2019. Moon Festival showcases an eclectic programme of street parties, club nights, lectures, star gazing, tea tasting, poetry and beyond.

The Moon Street Party Woolwich | Friday 19 July | Extended service

Get to Woolwich for the opening party on Friday 19 July, between 6pm-10:30pm, for a night of free music, circus, star gazing, spoken word, food and traders, all themed around the moon.

MBNA Thames Clippers offers you the most interstellar way to travel to and from the Moon party with our extended service. There will be a special post-event RB1 'Moon Express' request service* from the opening party to central London at 22:50 from Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) Pier.

Travelling with us is easy, touch in and out with your contactless or Oyster to pay as you go or buy your ticket online; different options are available from single tickets to return or River Roamers.

*Our Moon Express service will be a request stopping service, it can stop at all RB1 piers westbound of Woolwich. Please let our crew know which pier you would like to disembark at.
