Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition finalist helps get commuters in the festive spirit

On Friday 18 December, commuters on the MBNA Thames Clippers 17:50 boat from Canary Wharf to Putney can sample Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition finalist Santiago Michelis’s nautical themed creation, ‘The Knot”. Michelis, bartender at London’s Happiness Forgets, sailed through the national contest heats to reach the UK final where he is in the running to represent the UK at the global final in San Francisco next year.

Served from the boat’s on-board bar, passengers can enjoy sipping their festive drinks while sailing past some of London’s iconic sights including Tower Bridge, The Shard and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Adding to the jovial atmosphere, the MBNA Thames Clippers crew will all be in their festive finest to celebrate the annual Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Text Santa.

Make your own ‘The Knot’ cocktail at home (shake all ingredients with ice and serve straight up):

45ml Bacardi Carta Blanca
25ml fresh mandarin juice
5ml lemon juice
15ml honey syrup (1:1)
12.5ml Martini Bitter aperitivo
1 dash Angostura bitters
