Why Clippers

Why should you use KPMG Thames Clippers?

We are fast and frequent. Our fleet of high speed catamarans leave the major piers every 20 minutes. We take you from London Bridge to Canary Wharf in less than 10 minutes on the scheduled commuter service - a route that is extremely useful for tourists as well as those who work in the capital.

We are competitively priced

We offer a reduced rate for regular commuters with season tickets as well as for students (with a valid London Student Oyster card), Travelcard holders, Freedom Pass holders and children. For sightseers our River Roamer ticket allows passengers unlimited hop-on hop-off for a day's travel from 9am - 9pm, Monday to Friday. Please see our prices page for latest prices.

We are well connected

Our commuter service runs from Woolwich (East) to St George Wharf, Vauxhall (West) with stops at the following piers (from East to West); Woolwich, North Greenwich The O2, Greenwich, Masthouse, Greenland, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge, Bankside, Blackfriars, Embankment, London Eye Millbank and St George Wharf, Vauxhall. As the river is centrally located and Thames Clippers operates at various piers on either side of the river, transport interchanges are easily accessible from most piers.

We are smart

Our fleet of high speed catamarans are simply luxurious. We are convenient

The River Thames is centrally located and our service runs East to West through the middle of the city. This route is perfect for commuters needing to get through town fast and for visitors wanting to either stop off at or just admire London's finest landmarks.

We are reliable

River transport is also not affected by variable conditions that may affect other forms of transport.

We are easily accessible for all passengers

Our boats are all wheelchair and pram accessible at boarding points, in the interior and in the toilet facilities. Ramps are used for passenger boarding and unloading at each pier. Please ask the crew for boarding assistance if needed.

We want you to have a good time

Visitors for The O2 - Europe's finest entertainment destination which hosts the world's biggest pop, rock and sporting stars - can travel to the venue with us before and after select events in The O2 arena on The O2 Express. This service runs from London Eye Pier to North Greenwich Pier (3 minutes walk to the entrance of The O2). For art lovers and cultural enthusiasts we operate a dedicated service (known as the Tate Boat) that runs directly between the world famous galleries; Tate Britain (Millbank Pier) and Tate Modern (Bankside Pier).
