WWF: TAP TO GIVE™ CampaignEnds 29 Jul 2017 at 2:05 PM
We are excited to have teamed up with our partner MBNA and WWF for a tiger takeover on board in a bid to help double wild tiger numbers by 2022. It’s the first time contactless charity donations have been taken aboard a moving vessel.
TAP TO GIVE™ for tigers is on four of our vessels - Aurora, Monsoon, Cyclone and Tornado. The tiger takeover will be on board until 29 July 2017 to coincide with Global Tiger Day.
Wild tiger numbers have declined by 95 percent in the last century, and WWF is working towards the global goal to double their numbers by 2022. Already, there has been some progress, with tiger numbers seen to increase for the first time globally last year. However, there is much more to be done. With only around 3,900 tigers left in the wild, WWF needs more tiger protectors to help their aim to increase this to 6,000.
If you’d like to donate while you are on board simply tap your contactless card on the reader and £3 will be donated to help this great cause. Or become a Tiger Protector today with WWF at wwf.org.uk/tigerclippers
MBNA and WWF have a long-standing partnership, MBNA have supported WWF for over 20 years.
TAP TO GIVE™ is a tag line for contactless charity giving, to provide supporters with the confidence they are donating to a registered charity. TAP TO GIVE™ was agreed as part of a collaborative project between a number of UK charities, The UK Cards Association and the payment card schemes. For more information please visit www.taptogive.com
